NSTSE stands for National-level Science Talent Search Examination. It is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment developed in India for Indian schools, after a detailed study of the syllabi of the Central and various State Boards.
IIT/JEE & NEET (By NTA)
NEET i.e. National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination is a compulsory entrance exam for admission in medical courses in India like MBBS, BDS, BHMS etc. whereas JEE i.e. Joint Entrance Examination is a compulsory entrance exam for admission in top engineering colleges in India like IIT, NIT, IIIT etc.
PRMO (Govt. of India)
PRMO is the Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad, also known as the first-level qualifier towards representing India at World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students conducted by International Mathematical Olympiad in various countries. In India, the PRMO exam is conducted under the guidance of the Mathematics Teachers Association (MTA).

Mathematical Olympiads are the competitions conducted by different organizations to identify, encourage, promote and nurture the talent in mathematics at state, regional, national and international levels.
KVPY (Department of Science and Technology)
The “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India to encourage students who are studying Basic Sciences to take up research career in Science.

Rather than testing rote learning, it tests how well SKILLS and CONCEPTS underlying the school syllabus have been learnt by the student.
Green Olympiad (TERI & CBSE)
GREEN Olympiad is being organized annually by TERI since 1999. This is an environment examination that tests environment consciousness and analytical skills of students. It encourages schools as well as students (individual) to register for the examination and be the part of this unique environment initiative.
INMO (Govt. of India)
The Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) is a high school mathematics competition held annually in India since 1989. It is the third tier in the Indian team selection procedure for the International Mathematical Olympiad and is conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) under the aegis of the National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM).
INSPIRE AWARDS (State Level)
The INSPIRE Awards – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) is executed by DST with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST which aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6 to 10. The objective of the scheme is to target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children.
NEST Scholarship
National wide Education and Scholarship Test is commonly known as NEST is specially designed for students’ choice, skills, and interest and is essential at this stage of their education. NEST provides a scholarship for bonafide students of science, engineering, and medical courses on the basis of the merit only.

NSEJS (International Olympiad)
National Standard Examination in Junior Science (NSEJS) is conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). It aims to find and nurture young students who have high aptitude in Science. This IAPT organized exam is the entry test for International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO).
SOF Olympiads
The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) is an educational foundation and a nonprofit organization, established in 1999, based in New Delhi, India which promotes science, mathematics, general knowledge, introductory computer education and English language skills among school children in India and many other countries through various Olympiads.
Science Exhibition (By CBSE)
The CBSE conducts the Science Exhibition for students. It is organized every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide common platform to the schools, students and teachers in order to shape their creative ideas and learn from their experiences. This exhibition is organized at the national as well as regional level.
