The first edition of mega event “Run For Health”, an event for five kilometres, for students of classes VII to XI and the parents was successfuly conducted on February 26, 2023 The event was flagged off by Principal, Ms. Sangeeta Sharma from Harbanspura. It was an initiative to encourage running, a step towards good health and wellness and motivate collective participation.
The occasion saw a huge turnout of students and parents very eager and excited to participate in the event. The family members of the participants also joined the event to cheer and encourage the participants. It was a moment of delight to watch very young students running along with their parents and covering the entire stretch just to support their parents. Children learn best by examples and the parents proved themselves as excellent examples for their children by being their role models.

The felicitation ceremony for the outstanding runners were held in the community centre, Harbanspura.
The first ten position holders were felicitated with medals. The first three position holders were given trophies and medals.There were special cash prizes for the first position holders among four categories of students. All the participants completed the entire stretch with zeal and enthusiasm.
Mr. Paramjit Singh, a grandparent, deserves special mention and accolade as he participated in the event with great enthusiasm and excitement. He was honoured and appreciated by the organising committee and the audience present. He was invited to honour the outstanding runners and also requested to share a few words of wisdom with the students to encourage them to practice a healthy lifestyle to lead a better and active life.
It was a great experience for all the participants and the event was a huge success. The parents also expressed their appreciation for all the efforts of OPBMS team for organising the event and giving them a platform to participate and enjoy along with their wards .
