With a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame and to give a platform to our dear parents to demonstrate their creative culinary knowledge and skills related to cooking without fire, ‘Flameless Cooking Contest’ was organized for the parents today in the school. Parents participated with full zeal and enthusiasm as they doled out nutritious yet delectable delicacies. Artefacts and food items displayed were a visual treat and were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style. Dishes were judged on various parameters like Innovativeness of the Dish, Taste, Presentation, Nutritive Value etc. by esteemed judges Dr. Manish Verma Assistant Professor, School of Hospitality Management, RIMT, Dr. Sukhmandeep Department of Food and Nutrition and Chef Harish Bangari from RIMT School of Hospitality and Ms. Harpreet from School of Hospitality. Judges were overawed by the efforts of the participants and results were announced amidst tough competition. All the participants were awarded with certificates and winners with prizes too. The event was a great success and it was wonderful to see enthusiastic participation of creative mothers and fathers in the event.
